The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto is encouraging qualified Filipinos in Canada to register as overseas voters for the 2028 Philippine National Elections.
Overseas voter registration is currently underway and will remain open until 30 September 2027. Eligible Filipinos are encouraged to register early and ensure that they can exercise their right to vote in the upcoming national elections.
Who Is Eligible to Register?
Qualified Filipino citizens living abroad may apply for overseas voter registration. This includes young Filipinos who will be at least 18 years old on 8 May 2028.
Filipinos who have recently moved to Canada, changed their personal information or need to update their existing voter registration records are also encouraged to confirm their registration status with the Consulate.
What Applicants Need to Bring
Applicants should bring:
The original copy of their valid Philippine passport and one photocopy Proof of Philippine citizenship if a Philippine passport is unavailable Any additional documents that may be requested based on the applicant’s circumstances
