Centennialista Filipino Association is a community-driven organization dedicated to celebrating Filipino culture, empowering individuals and strengthening connections among Filipinos in Canada.
Since 2021, we have created meaningful programs that bring people together through culture, leadership, professional development and community service. Our initiatives provide a welcoming space where Filipinos can share their stories, celebrate their heritage, develop their talents and build lasting relationships.
Our signature event, Pinay Pride, celebrates the leadership, resilience and achievements of Filipinas through inspiring conversations with women making an impact in Canada and beyond. Pistang Pilipino brings Filipino traditions to life through food, music, games and shared cultural experiences. Professional-development programs such as From Paper to Presence have also helped participants strengthen their résumés, interview skills and career confidence.
Beyond our major programs, Centennialista has organized dinner meetups, community picnics and Christmas parties that gave members opportunities to relax, connect and celebrate together. With sponsorship and support from our founder, these gatherings created a warm and welcoming environment where friendships were formed, newcomers felt included and members experienced a genuine sense of community and belonging.
Centennialista has also supported book drives, cultural celebrations, volunteer initiatives and community outreach. Our participation in Asian Heritage Month provided another opportunity to proudly share Filipino culture with a wider audience. Through engagements with Philippine consular representatives and migrant-worker officials, we have helped create conversations around the experiences, concerns and aspirations of Filipinos living in Canada.
Every Centennialista initiative is guided by the Filipino spirit of bayanihan, the belief that communities become stronger when people support and uplift one another. Our impact is measured not only by the events we organize, but also by the connections we create, the voices we amplify and the sense of pride and belonging we inspire.
